Kristin Himsel
Yoga is a journey within, a path to know your authentic self. My mission is to learn, share and evolve alongside others desiring to experience the ever new joy of yoga. To see and appreciate all that is noble in others, as well as to inspire and support each individual and the larger community.
My yoga journey has evolved over two decades. Beginning with an occasional studio class and a set of DVDs for travel, which later became a dedicated yoga practice spanning hatha, vinyasa, yin and nidra modalities. More recently, my practice has expanded to include breathwork (pranayama) and meditation.
My ability to balance a demanding career in financial services, volunteer for non-profit boards and meet the needs of family and loved ones is a direct result of my yoga practice.
I am a beneficiary of the many self-guided lessons yoga provides – reduced stress, improved flexibility, mobility, balance and establishing a connection with intuition and the voice within. Each day my practice teaches me something new about myself - how to stay in tune by listening to my body, mind and spirit – which impacts how I show up and navigate each day.
Yoga is a foundation for well-being and naturally unfolds according to the needs of each individual. It’s a beautiful journey to experience and to witness in oneself and in others.
Away from my mat you can find me cultivating my indoor and outdoor gardens, reading and spending time with my husband, Matt (a fellow yogi), family and friends. Adventure travel to far off and unfamiliar places is also a passion - bringing me joy and inspiring a sense of awe.
