Joy Rogers

My goal in the classes I teach is to create a safe and nurturing space. I aim to make everyone feel welcome and the practice accessible. Teaching yoga has brought me so much happiness and I am excited to share!

I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Indianapolis. I began my yoga practice in 2011. Between 2011-2019 I practiced sporadically, visiting several studios in the Indianapolis area. In 2019, I began practicing at The Hot Room and fell in love with the 26/2 practice. In 2021, I completed my 200-hour training at The Hot Room and embarked on my teaching journey. In 2023 I obtained my yin certification and in 2024 I began my 300-hour training at Flourish (I will be completing this year).
Although I love the energy and discipline of the 26/2 practice, I gravitate to the peace and stillness of gentle and restorative yoga. I look forward to connecting in calmness with my students.

When I am not practicing or teaching yoga, I am working in regulatory compliance on oncology trials. My hobbies and interests include: volunteering. cooking, reading, knitting, spending time with family and friends, and collecting coffee mugs from every state I visit.
