TRAVEL LOGISTICS
You need a valid passport to travel to Costa Rica. If you are traveling under a US. Passport you do NOT need a separate VISA to enter the country.
Several airlines fly to San Jose, Costa Rica the most popular of which are American Airlines (through Dallas or Miami) and TACA airlines. Flights from Indy are around 650.00 – 700.00 and must be booked ASAP.
The dates of the retreat are April 20-27. You may wish to give yourself a day (or several days) on either side of the retreat to explore other areas of Costa Rica or for travel logistics.

If there are a minimum of 10 participants, Flourish may be able to organize a group schedule and
discount to and from San Jose. However, as time is of the essence and is slipping…. These flights are
difficult to obtain and you may prefer to make your own reservations.To facilitate the travel Flourish
has organized a group flight to and from San Jose Costa Rica for your consideration. In the event you
are interested in group travel, please contact Leslie Blankenship as soon as possible.

Airport to the Villa
The villa we are staying in is on the border of Manuel Antonio one of Costa’ Rica’s national parks (rain forest). It is a 3 hour drive from the San Jose airport to the villa. Rental cars (Hertz, Avis, etc.) are available.
A better option is an internal flight from San Jose to Quepos. $68.00 plus baggage fees Sansa Air www.flysansa.com. Another option is Nature Air www.natureair.com Nature Air’s flights depart from another airport which is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the San Jose international airport. For both of these airlines, you pay for luggage based on its weight. NOTE… these are SMALL planes and space is very limited. These internal flights should be booked ASAP. Please Don’t delay. Again, if there are a number of participants traveling on the same flight and/or arriving in San Jose on the same day, there is a possibility, a group van can be hired or a small flight booked to facilitate group travel. However, it is not possible to arrange such transportation until we know actual numbers.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. TRAVEL INSURANCE For your CONSIDERATION PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS FOR YOUR RETREAT ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. We understand, however, that LIFE HAPPENS and in the event you need to cancel we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are able to do so, your & will be refunded. HOWEVER, You can purchase TRAVEL INSURANCE. There are many insurance companies and plans to choose from on line and sites which guide you through the process, rank the companies, etc. There companies offer A FULL REFUND IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR TRIP FOR AN EMERGENCY. SUCH COMPANIES WILL RETURN NOT ONLY THE RETREAT FEE, BUT AIRLINE CHARGES AND ALL OTHER FEES PAID. The price of the insurance varies based on the amount of coverage you choose.. READ THE FINE PRINT TO ENSURE YOU GET THE COVERAGE YOU DESIRE. Such policies generally need to be purchased within a few weeks of signing up for your trip.
